Nature, play and relaxation
Live in the middle of a lush nature area by the restored Bølling Lake, surrounded by forest with space for relaxation and play for the children. You can easily spend the whole day in the swimming pool, on the playground and with the well-marked hiking and biking trails right by the square.

Climb Himmelbjerget
Enjoy the beautiful forests that surround the 147 meter high peak. Maybe with a greased lunch box in the forest floor. Or take the trip further into the cozy market town, Silkeborg, and go exploring. Here there are plenty of opportunities for shopping and good places to eat.

Take a trip to Silkeborg
The Tollund man, who was found by Bølling Lake, and who is the world's best preserved bog, can now be visited at Museum Silkeborg, which is a ten minute drive from DCU-Camping Hesselhus. In Silkeborg you can also visit the exciting Museum Jorn, AQUA Aquarium & Animal Park and explore the cozy market town. Here you can also enjoy a picnic on the banks of the river Gudenå, while life parades past.

Take a trip to Legoland and Givskud Zoo
If the family is going on a day trip, Legoland and Givskud Zoo are close by with just a half hour drive.

Vi var afsted bedsteforældre med 2 børnebørn og nabovognen var vores datter og svigersøn. Vi havde en dejlig weekend på denne rolige plads og med store pladser. Børnene hyggede sig på en stor legeplads med karrusel, hoppepude, en lang svævebane og meget mere. Der var også en pæn stor pool med rutschebane, den var ret kold. Der var desværre græs mm i poolen da det fulgte med når børnene hoppede i. Toiletter er ikke helt nye men rene og pæne. Der var en kiosk med de ting man har glemt men den er rimelig dyr men sådan er det jo altid på en campingplads. Pladsen kan vi klart anbefale videre.
